One of my favourite aspects is the Swansea Law Clinic where students can gain valuable first-hand experience in a practical legal environment. I believe that practical learning experience in a supervised environment is essential to building the transferable skills that you need for a successful career in any field. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to expand your worldly experience, establish independence, and discover more about yourself and your aspirations while pursuing your legal career. Swansea offers an exceptionally welcoming environment; it has been like a home away from home for me.
ALEXIS RUDAT Law, LLB (Hons)
I’m studying the Law LLB (Senior Status). Basically, it’s two years instead of three because I already have a bachelor’s degree. The structure of the degree allows me to have optional modules, which gives me a lot of opportunity to have a more focused approach. Swansea University has a wide range of extracurricular activities. I am currently participating in more than five competitions, the Law Society, the Bar Society and I am the subject representative. The lecturers are very friendly, approachable and helpful through the whole academic year. Everyone here is so friendly from the staff to the locals in Swansea.
MOHAMED FELAYA Law (Senior Status), LLB (Hons)
In my third year, I undertook the Clinical Legal Education module, a major reason in my decision to study Law at Swansea. The experience provided me with an essence of how law is practiced in a professional setting. We were paired as a ‘firm’ of two students and were responsible for most of the case management, applying our knowledge garnered in our first two years of the degree. As a result of this experience, I am more confident in my interview, research and management skills. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to help people in our local community.
