FACILITIES
Our focus is on the provision of research-led and skills-oriented education, which is enhanced through our sector-leading facilities, providing our students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a community that promotes collaboration and development. LAW CLINIC Our award-winning pro bono Law Clinic is housed within a professional, purpose-built space. The Clinic includes a reception area, client interview rooms, student collaboration spaces and staff offices. There is also a large space where our partner charities, non-governmental organisations and volunteer agencies can collaborate in an informal creative environment. STUDENT SPACES Both of our buildings offer open-plan study and social spaces. The layout has been designed to offer flexible working space, which means furniture can be easily moved to accommodate individual study or group work. Multiple electrical sockets together with Wi-Fi connectivity aid access to digital resources. MOCK COURT ROOM Our courtroom is equipped with authentic courtroom furniture, promoting an interactive learning environment that helps students to acquire advocacy skills. Mooting is a key part of our suite of extra-curricular experiential learning, helping to build confidence, communication skills and research skills, and improve employability prospects. Our students have enjoyed success in numerous regional and national mooting competitions. TEACHING ROOMS All of our teaching rooms have been upgraded to incorporate state-of-the-art teaching technologies. Large digital screens provide interactive tools, which encourage lively debate, group collaboration and teamwork. Lecture capture facilities ensure that students can refer back to all course materials during revision periods.
