been at our core.” Mike Court the director for education added: “The company was originally based in Bristol, but because you had to have a presence in the authority that you are working in, we started out quite literally in a shed in one of our previous director’s back garden.” As the company grew, the shed was traded in for Gloucester offices at Brunswick Square, followed by Bearland Lodge and subsequent larger offices at Imperial Chambers. Then, around five years ago, a major opportunity came about with a change at the top table and a move to weigh anchor in one of Gloucester’s most prominent postcodes. Mr Court now leads Quattro’s education and commercial arm, with Mr Fellows taking on the communities and living portfolio. Andy Tansill is the director in charge of elderly care, while Robert Walder has responsibility for the health and leisure sector.

Alongside the directors, there are 12 other members of a 16-strong senior management team, all of whom have a shared passion and dedication that continues to drive the company forward. Kate Da-Costa-Greaves and Joyce Cliifford are two of those 16 and both are home-grown products of Gloucestershire. Now senior associates, they have been with Quattro for 12 and 20 years respectively because like the company they are able to grow and flourish in their roles. Ms Da-Costa-Greaves said: “We are an integrated environment. All of our directors are on the shop floor every day, not hidden away. “We have a good balance among the staff, we are open and inclusive.
