Celebrate! Italy Day

COOKING This week, our Year 4 children have hosted an Italian day. As well as completing lots of activities based on Italy, the children also looked at food from different countries around the world. The children took on the role of Pizzaiolos, designing and creating their own pitta bread pizzas. The school hall was transformed into a mini Italian restaurant together with its own Italian themed bunting, table place mats and menus. RRS AWARD & BEST STUDENT PLACEMENT SCHOOL Finishing the year with two awards, we end the year on a high! Firstly, we hosted 20 BA Teaching Students who worked really hard with us. They in turn recognised the help and support we provided to the start of their teaching careers. We were nominated (and won!) best teaching placement school. Additionally, we have secured the Rights Respecting School Bronze Award! Together young people and the school community learn about children’s rights, putting them into practice every day. The award is not just about what children do but also, importantly, what adults do. In Rights Respecting Schools children’s rights are promoted and realised, adults and children work towards this goal together.

A double well-done us!
