11:45am-12:45pm — Blueprint Engines: “New Products to Improve Your Hot Rod” presented by Jason Bruce. Jason has been in the performance aftermarket for 38 years. He has lead sales and marketing teams for brands like Hooker Headers, Holley, StreetScene, aFe and is now the Sales and Marketing Manager for BluePrint Engines. He will be reviewing BluePrint Engines product line and many of its technical details around its crate motor line. This would include showcasing new products and upcoming products as well as operational improvements they have made to serve the hot rodding market more completely.
1-2pm — Edelbrock: “Modern Superchargers & Reliable Horsepower” presented by David Page. David has over 35 years in the automotive performance industry working in the Electronic Fuel Injection and Forced Induction markets. He has worked as an installer, technical support representative, designer, and product manager in both fields. Working with Comp Cams since 2005, and now with the Edelbrock group, he has seen the trends and technology evolve in every segment of
the performance aftermarket, from all-out race vehicles to high-end show vehicles. With a passion for helping fellow enthusiasts realize their vision for their project, David is a gear head at heart. How modern superchargers make reliable horsepower is probably not how you think! A great way to gain some extra pep for your current engine with a supercharger. However, it is not as easy as just bolting one on. In this session, David will walk you through selecting the right supercharger for your application, plus what preparations need to be made to your engine, ignition system, and fuel system before adding a supercharger into the equation. Finally, he will talk about what power gains you can expect from this addition.
2:15-3:15pm — Wilwood Brakes: “Brake System Basics” presented by Miguel Jimenez. Miguel has been a part of the Wilwood team for 15 years. He has had the opportunity to work on many different projects for Wilwood, from street applications to the racetrack. The seminar will be going over the basic components of the brake system from “pedal to pad.” This includes matching the correct master cylinder to the brake calipers you intend on using for your project. Miguel will also discuss the supporting brake system components and applications for street and racing applications.
3:30-4:30pm — MSD Holley: “Making a Hot Rod Safe & Reliable with the Right Ignition Products” presented by Silver Gomez. Silver is the Motorsports Sales Manager based in El Paso, Texas, for MSD, a part of the Holley Group. He graduated from Universal Technical Institute with a certificate in General Automotive. He has been married for 35 years, his wife Claudia, sons Silver John (grandson Roman) and Carlos, and daughter Yasmin continue to live in El Paso. He has been involved in the Performance Industry for over 25 years, starting with MSD Ignition from customer service tech and evolved through various positions from R&D, Powersports, Product Development and Managed the event trailer program. Eventually moving into Holley as product manager he ended up Motorsports Sales Manager. Currently, he enjoys attending various drag racing events to help support Holley EFI, MSD and Racepak product lines.
