Manufacturers’ Choice A nother highlight of the Street Rod Nationals to be on the lookout for are display vehicles in exhibitors’ booths. Whether inside or outside, the wide variety of vendors bring along some of the coolest project vehicles to help draw attention to their display or to help explain how their product works. So whether it’s checking out parts hanging from racks or laying on tables, to show-winning chassis and cars, be sure to spend time in the Exhibit Hall—it’s a four day car show in itself! Considering all these fantastic cars on display, the NSRA teamed with Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles for the fourth year in a row to present two “Manufacturers’ Choice” awards at this 56th Street Rod Nationals. Alumicraft not only sponsors these awards, but machines cool billet trophies for the winners. A group of manufacturers and builders will check out the eligible vehicles that must be a part of the Commercial Exhibitor’s display, either inside or outside, to determine two winners. The two winners will be on display Sunday morning at 10am in the space where the winning cars are on display. This award recognizes the quality of vehicles Commercial Exhibitors bring to the show, which have not been eligible for awards at the Nationals in years past.

Jon Hall’s radical Shadow Rods XL27, based on an Eric Brockmeyer illustration and a 327ci aluminum flathead engine developed by Jon and his great friend Mark Kirby of Motor City Flathead, captured one of the 2024 Manufacturers’ Choice awards.

U.S. Radiator displayed Big Oak Garage’s ’55 Chevy Nomad that came away with a Manufacturers’ Choice award in 2024. An AME chassis with an LT5 crate engine and

10L90-E 10-speed automatic transmission wowed his peers.

Exposition Center Map on page 62. The three retail price categories for Street Rod Product of the Year are as follows: $200 and below, over $200- $1,000 and over $1,000 and up. A special “Best New Safety Product” is

also included in the list of winners. As usual dozens more are available for viewing so be sure to stop by and check out what’s new. There’s always plenty of everything it takes to keep rodding fun, affordable and moving forward with the latest technology available.
