One of the most anticipated aspects of NSRA events is the chance to meet company representatives face-to-face that provide parts for both homebuilders and professional shops alike. During the year thousands of exhibitors display an amazing variety of hardcore products specially designed for the cars we enjoy. For the upcoming 2025 National Street Rod Association Event Schedule, eight Divisional events and the 56th Street Rod Nationals are planned to help bring rodders and manufacturers/dealers together. Aside from the enjoyment you get attending NSRA events, there are a lot of other benefits to your NSRA membership. You receive the free member-only “StreetScene” magazine, free online “Fellow Pages” and the staff has been updating the website at nsra- usa.com where you can electronically fill out an event Entry Form for any of the NSRA events, get access to NSRA Merchandise and a simple connection to one of the largest “Cars for Sale” websites in the industry. Our Facebook page continues gaining followers daily and we encourage rodders to log onto nsra-usa.com and familiarize yourself with navigating the website. While doing so you’ll run across each month’s issue of StreetScene viewable page by page. There is no better way to recharge everyday life than jumping in your rod, custom, classic car/pickup or a 30-year- and-older performance machine and heading out on the open road to an NSRA event or just a cruise around the countryside. For that moment in time everything seems less important, and taking in the attractions and landscape of this beautiful country on the way to reunite with friends and meet new ones at an NSRA event is the type of relief that is good for the soul. Let’s get back on the road in 2025 with cameras in hand to capture a StreetScene 2025 Cover Photo Contest image.
Cruisin’ Through 2024 I t’s impossible to capture the without experiencing it firsthand. Whether in the monthly StreetScene magazine, this Yearbook or the annual Street Rod Nationals Official Event Guide or at nsra-usa.com, we are only able to convey a small percentage of all the cars and activities. However, what you see here in print doesn’t match the memories of open highway cruisin’ to NSRA events. We felt these two Deuces prowling the cover, one from the ‘30s and one from the ‘60s, captured the spirit of change going on within the rodding world and you’ll experience it all when you attend an NSRA event in 2025. excitement of the 2024 National Street Rod Association event season The year 2024 featured three two- day Divisional events, six three-day Divisional events and the four-day “Granddaddy of ‘em all” the 55th NSRA Street Rod Nationals attracting rodding enthusiasts from all corners of America and abroad. There were two new events added to the 2024 schedule and two events celebrated their 50th Anniversaries. As always, checking out the thousands of cool rides gathered at each venue is certainly a show in itself, but add in activities like Nick Donovan’s “Rockin’ Road Show,” Cash and Super Prizes to win, NSRA Safety Inspections, the MHRA Rod Repair Shop and NSRA Autocross (select events), Commercial Exhibitors, Swap Meets, Women’s World and Ladies Tea, plus adult and kids Games, Worship Services, Streets of Rods, 29 Below and awards for “Pros’ Pick,” the “ISCA Pick” and “Outstanding Use of Color” and you begin to get the idea why two, three, or four days fly by so quick. All these activities are held at every NSRA event aside from the Rod Repair Shop and Autocross. All vehicles at any/all NSRA events must be licensed, insured and registered for the event. No motorized or non-motorized contrivances that do not comply with these requirements shall be ridden or driven on the grounds. Only recognized, single occupant handicap contrivances, motorized or non-motorized, will be allowed. T HE DECISION OF THE NSRA O FFICIALS WILL BE FINAL .

47 TH WESTERN Street Rod Nationals
A fter heavy rains and cold temperatures retreat for those attending the 47th Western Street Rod Nationals held at the Kern County Fairgrounds April 26-28. Mornings in the 60s and afternoons in the 70s provided the crisp, warmer air of spring for a great three days of rodding and cruising. The event kicked off Friday morning when the OFCC Host Club and Visit Bakersfield hosted a Continental Breakfast before everybody began checking out the show. The men headed toward the Swap Meet coordinated by Ted Wieseman and the women toward Women’s World coordinated by Sandy Phillips. The dynamic team of Toni and Paula around the southwest throughout winter, Bakersfield, California, seemed to be a warm Draeger gathered 41 ladies for the Sanderson Headers-sponsored Ladies Tea. “Orphan John and the Abandon” ripped it up both Friday and Saturday evenings and Nick Donovan’s “Rockin’ Road Show” filled the airways all weekend as the Sloup family again put on some great Games for the kids.
The new “Streets of
Rods” categories for 2024 consisted of “Pros’ Pick” by Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles, “29 Below” sponsored by Vintage Air, “Commercial Court” sponsored by
O’Brien Truckers, “Carburetor Court” sponsored by Harrison’s Rod & Custom, “Lady Rodder Lane” spon- sored by Watson’s StreetWorks and “Mustang Corral” sponsored by FatMan Fabrications. The weekend finished up with a rousing Worship Service by “Just Passing Through” before the awards were handed out. Check out StreetScene or nsra-usa.com for more NSRA informa- tion and the 2025 NSRA Event Schedule where the first NSRA event of 2025 will again be the 48th Western Street Rod Nationals, April 25-27, 2025, in Bakersfield, California.

S taffed by volunteers from car clubs, Participant Registration always runs smoothly. The mood for the fun weekend ahead is set in registration and every effort is made to make it a pleasant experience. The guys and gals that make up the volunteer teams donate their time and expertise to perform free Safety Inspections at every NSRA event. The 23-point checklist used by the inspectors cover all the essentials of the vehicle, and those that pass will have an NSRA
Safety Sticker affixed to their windshield. No one leaves home expecting to have troubles on the road, but it happens and that is why the Michigan Hot Rod Association brings their mobile MHRA Rod Repair Shop to select NSRA events. Nick Donovan’s Rockin’ Road Show broadcast trailer is an area every participant should locate upon arrival. Nick provides music, important event-related announcements and manages distribution of Super Prize certificates.
For those with difficulty getting around large facilities to see everything, NSRA offers Motorized Scooters for rent at every event. The Commercial Exhibit areas at NSRA events are large indoor and outdoor displays of products representing all the leading manufacturers of parts and accessories. You can meet company representatives who are qualified to answer questions and provide instructions on the proper use of their merchandise. The Swap Meets held in conjunction with NSRA events are

“East Tennessee Demijohns” lifted spirits with their bluegrass performance. Keith and Lollie Krogmeier presented Games while Charlie Bryson oversaw the Coloring Contest. Southeast Chief Safety Inspector Rusty Holcomb’s Safety Inspection Team completed a total of 65 inspections with 61 passing and of those 56 received the Safety 23 sticker. After a performance by “Southern Steel Band” the Awards were handed out and those in atten- dance seemed happy to have Sunday to cruise home, especially as younger participants look for- ward to Monday morning commitments. Like the lucky three participants who stuffed $2,000 into their pockets after the $weep$take$ drawings, everyone headed home in good spirits. We’re sure many were disappointed to find out the South wouldn’t be on the 2025 NSRA Event Schedule, but will be excited to hear the 51st Street Rod Nationals South will be on the 2026 NSRA Event Schedule in Johnson City, Tennessee, May 8-9, 2026. As a club, they cele- brated their 54th Anniversary in 2024. On Friday morning Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center began filling with rain-soaked rodders eager for the skies to clear. 41 ST MID-AMERICA Street Rod Nationals
T he 41st Mid-America Street Rod Nationals in Springfield, Missouri, kicked off Friday, May 24, with 30-year-and-older works of automo- bile art rumbling down the streets of Springfield and through the front gates of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. The following three days were a show- case of fantastic cars and enthusiastic owners and spectators enjoying the freedoms everybody pays homage to on Memorial Day. At Sunday’s Awards Program Event Director Mike Adams paid special tribute to those who lost their lives defending our freedom by paying the price with their own lives. Participants registered for the event at the Host Double Tree Hotel with the help of Lynn Adams, Lesa Seibel, Sheri Vaughn, Sandy Kerr, Lollie Krogmeier, along with Host Club, the Pharoahs Car Club, and volunteers from the Springfield CVB. To show off some of the local talent Bret Chrismer led those interested to a couple Missouri shops for a tour of “Show Me Rod & Custom” in Nixa and “All Couped Up” in Pierce City. The Battlefield Mall was just a short bus ride away for others who wanted
to venture out. Another rod shop from Marshfield, Missouri, “Rust to Rodz” was in the limelight as the “Spotlight Builder” for this year’s event. Back cruising
the grounds, Larry Krauck coordinated a Swap Meet full of rare parts, Ashton Worth set up shopping options in Women’s World and Renee Kaulfuss host- ed 130 ladies who enjoyed live entertainment at the Ladies Tea sponsored by Sanderson Headers and the Springfield CVB. On Sunday morning “4 Calvary” entertained and thanked the Lord for our blessings and then the Awards Program ended a beautiful three-day week- end. Mark your calendars now for the 42nd Mid- America Street Rod Nationals will be held May 23- 25, 2025, for another Memorial Day weekend of “Fun With Cars.”

Patti and Jim Knaack and their helpers hosted Center in York, Pennsylvania, was packed with an enthusiastic group of participants, specta- 320 ladies at the “50 Years of Nats East” Ladies Tea sponsored by Sanderson Headers, Scooter Time Rentals, Watson’s StreetWorks and Yogis. 39th Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals
T he 39th Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals experienced good car show weather June 21-23 as early arrivals enjoyed the Thursday evening Kick-off Party sponsored by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. When Friday dawned hundreds of participants who had already registered with help from Lynn Adams, Judy Williams, Valerie Sump, Juleen Bauer, Sherrie Richardson, Lollie Krogmeier and the Mid-Life Crisis Car Club rolled through the front gates of the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. The Colorado Springs Rod and Custom Host Club welcomed participants and Fred Williams, NSRA Northwest Division Director, organized a Street Rod Parade. Music flowed throughout the weekend with “The Sparrow Band” cranking it out on Friday followed by the “Dr. Fine Band” on Saturday. The “Spotlight Builder” for the show was “Hot Rods by Marsh” from Woodland Park, Colorado, and Event Director Tom Wilkerson packed the Agricultural Building with displays full of antique tractors, pedal cars, a tasteful Pin-Up Girl Contest organized by Carrie Raynor and the Pinstripers Charity Auction organized by Kenzie Kout generated $13,500 for Make-A-Wish.
Inside yet another
building were Commercial Exhibitors, Women’s World, a Quilt Display and Kids Games hosted by the
Canon City Street Rods. Pat Collins hosted a Ladies Tea sponsored by Sanderson Headers, ANPAC and the Greater Pueblo CVB for 87 attendees. The Northwest
Division Chief Safety Inspector Matt Chismar, his wife Melissa, and Colorado State Inspector Abe Jones coordinated the Safety Inspections with 41 traditional (pre-’49) street rods and 73 post-’48 late models inspected. After Bev McCann entertained at the Worship Service it was time for the Awards program. Nearly 50 were handed out, plus Super Prize packages and three $unday $weep$take$ checks for $2,000 each. 1 st Mobile Bay Street Rod Nationals
T he 1st Mobile Bay Street Rod Nationals held June 28-29 had the NSRA staff traveling to Mobile, Alabama, early to make sure everything was set at ‘The Grounds’ (home to the Greater Gulf State Fair) to receive hundreds of rumbling street rods, customs, classic cars and pickups, plus performance street machines for two days of “Fun With Cars” NSRA-style. For a two-day show quick registration becomes even more important so the capable crew of Annette and Mike Harbin, Lesa Seibel, Michelle Chopin, Diane Miller, Janet Adams and Craig Wolf from the Host Club Pharoahs speeded things along. Thursday evening the Spotlight Builder for this inaugural show, Metal Brothers Hot Rods, hosted an open house and Francisco Murillo and his team made sure they had a wide variety of their builds in the spotlight. Everything from a Swap Meet and Women’s World to Safety Inspections and Streets of Rods were being held while other awards were being picked leading up to Saturday evening. Danny Potter put together a nice display of
A/Gas and Pro Street cars while Kay Staggs hosted
a Ladies Tea for 112 ladies with generous support from Sanderson Headers. The Southern Brushslingers raised over $5,000 for the Abba Shrine for Children in Mobile. Ed and Michelle Chopin coordinated the Games and a Coloring Contest and Kay Staggs put together a Quilt Display. “The Mailman” livened things up at the Saturday evening Awards Program and, just like a three-day event, Super Prizes were given out and three lucky rodders won $2,000 each in the $weep$take$ Giveaway. With all this action packed into two days there’s every indication we’ll see you all June 20-21, 2025, for the 2nd Mobile Bay Street Rod Nationals.

R odders are notoriously hungry so NSRA events offer Continental Breakfasts, Bar-B-Ques, Kick-Off Parties and Food Courts in varying degrees at each event. First-class Entertainment is always a feature of every event and at select events Poker Runs and a Parade get the cars out on the street to the locals delight. For lady rodders the Ladies Tea gives them a chance to relax and chat with old friends and new acquaintances while enjoying a variety of snacks and sweets and of course, tea. They offer speakers, fashion shows and other fun activities. Quilt Displays are non-competitive displays, usually based on automobile-themed quilts utilizing rod run T-shirt designs. Man or woman, you’ll be impressed at the quality and craftsmanship displayed. The $weep$take$ winners at the NSRA Divisional Nationals in 2024 each received a check for $2,000. The three winners’ entry numbers were drawn at the end of the Awards Program at each event. Every participant that registers a vehicle for an NSRA event immediately becomes eligible to win one of the Super Prizes given away during the event. Drawings for Super Prizes are done Friday NSRA Participant Activities

Prior to the Awards Program, all winners from the wide variety of categories gather in the Circle of Winners. This is a great opportunity to see the “cream of the crop” showcased in one area. Enthusiasts who have cool cars in miniature have the chance to showcase their creations at most events. The Model Car Contests feature hundreds of works of art that are often as detailed as their full-size counterparts. NSRA Host Clubs come up with some very interesting Games for kids and adults. Some games involve dexterity, some take strength and some are determined by the winner’s luck, but everyone has a good time—participant and host alike. An opportunity to refresh the soul happens during Worship Services every Sunday morning at all three-and-four-day NSRA events. It’s a great time to give thanks for the ability to enjoy life “NSRA style!”

Special Activities for the Nationals
A t the 55th Street Rod Nationals in 2024 one vehicle was selected as the 2023/2024 Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles “Pros’ Pick of the Year.” The NSRA congratulated Dennis and Suan Strobel along with their Korek Designs-built ’50 Ford F1 for their win. Also at the Street Rod Nationals in 2024, builders displaying cars in the Moser Engineering-sponsored Builders’ Showcase chose Tyler Nelson’s Revision Rods-built ’51 Henry J phantom pickup owned by Joe Faso as the “Elite Builder of the Year.” The Builders’ Showcase is a special invitation- only display of professionally built rods in the lobby of the Exhibition building. In 2024, it was the nineteenth year for the Builders’ Showcase. The New Street Rod Products Showcase featured the latest offerings from a wide variety of manufacturers. Over 100 judges marked ballots in five categories and it’s always one of the most anticipated displays in the Exhibit Hall.
are recognized. Qualifications to win are based on the total number of miles club and association members traveled to attend the Nationals. To be considered for this award a club or association member must submit their group’s travel information to the NSRA Membership/StreetScene booth. The longest running mini event at the Street Rod Nationals was the 49th Mopar Country for cars from that corporate origin or those powered by a Mopar engine. Five cars are selected as winners. The Rodders Fest featured bands performing under the big top tent Thursday through Saturday of the 55th Street Rod Nationals. The tent is a place to sit, relax and enjoy some great music. Throughout the 55th Street Rod Nationals four registered participants each won $5,000 in the NSRA Street Rod Nationals $weep$take$ Giveaway. All four tickets were picked from Sunday Lucky Tickets deposited in the tumbler at the Sunday Awards Program.
Thursday and Friday of the Nationals featured the Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Education Days. One-hour seminars from 12 manufacturers filled the two days with great information. HRIA Education Days continue to grow each year since they were introduced in 2016. UPS, a great supporter of the NSRA, offers on-site UPS Shipping, a free UPS Weighing Station and the UPS Commercial Way, a special display for commercial vehicles only at the Street Rod Nationals. Everybody loves free and that’s exactly what you get at the Powermaster Engine Analysis tent. Here you can receive a free checkout of your charging and starting system and be given technical solutions if there is a problem. The Kentucky Exposition Center is a huge complex so that’s why the NSRA provides the People Mover during the event to get you where you want to go. Each year the Association and Club Participation awards

1 st Quad Cities Street Rod Nationals
T he Mississippi Valley region around the Quad Cities roared to life August 16-17 as rodders cruised into the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport, Iowa, for the 1st NSRA Quad Cities Street Rod Nationals. For those arriving early on Wednesday a Garage Tour, organized by the event’s Host Club, the Quad Cities Cruisers, included a stop at Antique Archaeology, “American Pickers” home base in Le Claire, Iowa. Thursday evening Visit Quad Cities hosted an exceptional kick-off dinner with a performance from the super talented Ashley McBryde. While members of the Pontiac Car Club worked the main entrance, Lesa Seibel, Lollie Krogmeier and Ann Rose registered those anxious to wander about the vendor booths encompassed in three buildings or do some shopping at the Swap Meet organized by Frank Rosenboom or Women’s World coordinated by Stephaine Genova. Others were interested in watching the Spotlight Builder, Midwest Rod and Custom from Wapello, Iowa, completely assemble a T-bucket in two days.
On Friday “The
Night People” entertained followed by “3 Day Rain” on Saturday. Sanderson Headers, Yogi’s, Visit
Quad Cities and Renee Kaulfuss

Lubbers. Over $10,000 dollars was raised for local humane societies by the pinstriping talents of Jim Hetzler, Bill Foust, Mark “Fat Daddy” Hagstrom and Chris “D Painter” Glembin. Keith Krogmeier and Kirby Moon helped set up the event site and coordinated the Streets of Rods. T he 44th Street Rod Nationals North was held at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center & Fairground in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for three days Sept 20-22. Michigan’s rich history with the automobile means cool versions of cars originally built “just down the road” rumbled into the Expo Center all three days. Discover Kalamazoo served Continental Breakfasts, organized a Parade and operated a bus to the shopping mall. Jenny Hinton coordinated the campgrounds while Lynn Adams, Ann Rose, Lollie Krogmeier, Lynn Hoyt, Melinda Johnson and members of the Mid- Michigan SRA registered incoming participants. Co-Host Clubs included the Rod Benders, Mid- Michigan SRA and the Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restoration Club. Held in their home state, the MHRA had their Rod Repair Shop in full swing and the St. Joe Valley Street Rods hosted Games. E arly arrivals for the 30th Northeast Street Rod Nationals, held September 27-29, enjoyed a Kick-off Dinner, compliments of Hello Burlington and the Champlain Valley Exposition Center. The Host Clubs were the Champlain Valley Street Rodders, helping other rodders with any repairs throughout the weekend, and the Connecticut Street Rod Association hosting games. Frank Barron and the Maine Safety Team welcomed 87 students from four different Vo-Tec programs to the event to learn more about the NSRA Safety Inspection program and street rodding in general. The Safety Team also inspected 79 vehicles of which 64 passed and 60 received the Safety 23 sticker. As the participants entered the Champlain Valley Expo Friday morning, they were greeted by members of six area clubs: the Road Scholars, Stateline Rod & Custom, Maine Coastal Cruisers, Olde Tyme Cruisin’ Club, Vermont Street Rodders and the Downeast Street Rods. The Carz Car Club helped set up the Swap Meet and the Rhode Island Street Rod Association gathered cars for “Canadian Country.” Eli English from Traditional
