41 ST MID-AMERICA Street Rod Nationals
T he 41st Mid-America Street Rod Nationals in Springfield, Missouri, kicked off Friday, May 24, with 30-year-and-older works of automo- bile art rumbling down the streets of Springfield and through the front gates of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. The following three days were a show- case of fantastic cars and enthusiastic owners and spectators enjoying the freedoms everybody pays homage to on Memorial Day. At Sunday’s Awards Program Event Director Mike Adams paid special tribute to those who lost their lives defending our freedom by paying the price with their own lives. Participants registered for the event at the Host Double Tree Hotel with the help of Lynn Adams, Lesa Seibel, Sheri Vaughn, Sandy Kerr, Lollie Krogmeier, along with Host Club, the Pharoahs Car Club, and volunteers from the Springfield CVB. To show off some of the local talent Bret Chrismer led those interested to a couple Missouri shops for a tour of “Show Me Rod & Custom” in Nixa and “All Couped Up” in Pierce City. The Battlefield Mall was just a short bus ride away for others who wanted
to venture out. Another rod shop from Marshfield, Missouri, “Rust to Rodz” was in the limelight as the “Spotlight Builder” for this year’s event. Back cruising
the grounds, Larry Krauck coordinated a Swap Meet full of rare parts, Ashton Worth set up shopping options in Women’s World and Renee Kaulfuss host- ed 130 ladies who enjoyed live entertainment at the Ladies Tea sponsored by Sanderson Headers and the Springfield CVB. On Sunday morning “4 Calvary” entertained and thanked the Lord for our blessings and then the Awards Program ended a beautiful three-day week- end. Mark your calendars now for the 42nd Mid- America Street Rod Nationals will be held May 23- 25, 2025, for another Memorial Day weekend of “Fun With Cars.”
