39th Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals
T he 39th Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals experienced good car show weather June 21-23 as early arrivals enjoyed the Thursday evening Kick-off Party sponsored by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. When Friday dawned hundreds of participants who had already registered with help from Lynn Adams, Judy Williams, Valerie Sump, Juleen Bauer, Sherrie Richardson, Lollie Krogmeier and the Mid-Life Crisis Car Club rolled through the front gates of the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. The Colorado Springs Rod and Custom Host Club welcomed participants and Fred Williams, NSRA Northwest Division Director, organized a Street Rod Parade. Music flowed throughout the weekend with “The Sparrow Band” cranking it out on Friday followed by the “Dr. Fine Band” on Saturday. The “Spotlight Builder” for the show was “Hot Rods by Marsh” from Woodland Park, Colorado, and Event Director Tom Wilkerson packed the Agricultural Building with displays full of antique tractors, pedal cars, a tasteful Pin-Up Girl Contest organized by Carrie Raynor and the Pinstripers Charity Auction organized by Kenzie Kout generated $13,500 for Make-A-Wish.

building were Commercial Exhibitors, Women’s World, a Quilt Display and Kids Games hosted by the
Canon City Street Rods. Pat Collins hosted a Ladies Tea sponsored by Sanderson Headers, ANPAC and the Greater Pueblo CVB for 87 attendees. The Northwest
Division Chief Safety Inspector Matt Chismar, his wife Melissa, and Colorado State Inspector Abe Jones coordinated the Safety Inspections with 41 traditional (pre-’49) street rods and 73 post-’48 late models inspected. After Bev McCann entertained at the Worship Service it was time for the Awards program. Nearly 50 were handed out, plus Super Prize packages and three $unday $weep$take$ checks for $2,000 each. NSRA welcomes everyone to join us for another ‘Colorado Bound’ weekend of fun with family and friends June 27-29, 2025.
