R odders are notoriously hungry so NSRA events offer Continental Breakfasts, Bar-B-Ques, Kick-Off Parties and Food Courts in varying degrees at each event. First-class Entertainment is always a feature of every event and at select events Poker Runs and a Parade get the cars out on the street to the locals delight. For lady rodders the Ladies Tea gives them a chance to relax and chat with old friends and new acquaintances while enjoying a variety of snacks and sweets and of course, tea. They offer speakers, fashion shows and other fun activities. Quilt Displays are non-competitive displays, usually based on automobile-themed quilts utilizing rod run T-shirt designs. Man or woman, you’ll be impressed at the quality and craftsmanship displayed. The $weep$take$ winners at the NSRA Divisional Nationals in 2024 each received a check for $2,000. The three winners’ entry numbers were drawn at the end of the Awards Program at each event. Every participant that registers a vehicle for an NSRA event immediately becomes eligible to win one of the Super Prizes given away during the event. Drawings for Super Prizes are done Friday NSRA Participant Activities
and Saturday of each event in the morning and afternoon. Plus Super Prizes that were not claimed during the event are given away at the Awards Program so be sure to keep an eye on the winner board at the “Rockin’ Road Show” trailer and attend the Awards Program for your chance to win one of the Super Prize packages. Prior to the Awards Program, all winners from the wide variety of categories gather in the Circle of Winners. This is a great opportunity to see the “cream of the crop” showcased in one area. Enthusiasts who have cool cars in miniature have the chance to showcase their creations at most events. The Model Car Contests feature hundreds of works of art that are often as detailed as their full-size counterparts. NSRA Host Clubs come up with some very interesting Games for kids and adults. Some games involve dexterity, some take strength and some are determined by the winner’s luck, but everyone has a good time—participant and host alike. An opportunity to refresh the soul happens during Worship Services every Sunday morning at all three-and-four-day NSRA events. It’s a great time to give thanks for the ability to enjoy life “NSRA style!”
