2025 Yearbook
Representatives pick 10 cars at each Divisional event from one of the seven nationwide Divisions for an award and the Safety Representatives pick one car for their “Safety Pick.” In addition, both groups of representatives campaign their local Divisions for cars to represent them at the Street Rod Nationals and from those cars each picks one winner to represent their Division at the Street Rod Nationals. The selected cars and owners are included in the Awards Program on Sunday.
Every young rodder that participates gets a dash plaque and a commemorative T-shirt and is entered in a drawing for some special prizes. NSRA Autocross is a test of driver skill and ability to maneuver a course of cones in as short a time as possible. While the racing doesn’t look difficult (or fast) from the spectator’s position, a passenger will tell you differently. The course consists of slaloms, tight hairpins, switchbacks, sweepers and some speed-grabbing straights. All
NSRA Autocross events have “Ride-Along” opportunities. Nitro Knockout will have your heart pumping, ears ringing and eyes watering, but to the veteran nitro and fuel drag racers with “cackle” cars at NSRA events their award is reliving earlier days, but with less wheel shake. A registered participant that has traveled the furthest distance to attend a particular NSRA event wins the “Long Distance” award, recognized at all NSRA events throughout the year.
