KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

Leadership and Organisational Development • Actively promote good communication and employee engagement throughout the CEF workforce, exemplifying the values and behaviours of the Trust. • Provide leadership to CEF staff, encouraging ‘one team’ working and breaking down management barriers and divisions. • Lead the reconfiguration of working practices and strategic resource levels required to achieve on going optimum flexibility in the workforce to service anticipated and existing business. • Play a lead role in developing and maintaining positive relationships and partnership working with staff side representatives. • Invest in the development of all directly accountable employees. • Develop relationships with technical colleges and universities to develop recruitment streams, apprentices and the training and development of people. • Ensure the implementation of consistent performance management for all employees. • Work with the Head of Investment and Resources and other colleagues in HR and Finance to ensure that workforce plans match and anticipate performance, service and activity levels. • Provide visible leadership to promote a fair and just culture that ensures that CEF is responsive to the needs of diverse staff. • Contribute to talent management and succession planning across Essentia.
