SCENARIO FOR SOLAR INSTALLATION IN INDUSTRIES
In the year 2022, Malaysia's solar energy capacity reached 1.93 thousand megawatts, a slight increase from the previous year's figure of 1.78 thousand megawatts. For the past decade, the country's capacity for solar energy has experienced a steady incline, commencing from 139 megawatts in 2013. The surge in solar capacity is attributable to the participation of industries in the NEM campaign and subsequent installation of solar panels. However, the profitability of this initiative remains to be determined for these industries, as it necessitates a long-term obligation of 21 to 25 years with the solar panel installer.
