The Elizabeth Police Department initiated the mock pullover program in 2020 as part of our Safe Interaction Program. The Safe Interaction Program was created in response to concerns from our community
and families. The idea for the mock pullover program emerged from the specific needs of an individual with autism who was newly licensed to drive.

We promote the program through our social media accounts, the city website, canvassing, flyers, and partnerships with several organizations that recognize us as a valuable resource.
