Community Involvement

These pictures capture the vibrant atmosphere at Kent Roosevelt High School during their annual Conversation with Parents event on February 6th. This important event serves as a prime recruiting opportunity for the CADET (Computer Aided Design & Engineering Technology) career-technical program, which engages high school juniors and seniors from six local high schools. It empowers prospective students and their parents to explore the cutting-edge facilities, hear firsthand from dedicated instructors about the transformative program, and connect with industry partners like MAAG, who actively support students through valuable job shadowing and internship opportunities.

In a significant milestone for the program, the CADET initiative received a remarkable $2.3 million grant from the State of Ohio in 2024. This funding is being utilized to construct a state-of-the-art 3,500-square-foot addition to the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center. As the finishing touches are applied to this impressive new facility, local manufacturing companies, students, and their parents were thrilled to gain an exclusive sneak peek at what promises to be a game-changing resource for our community.
