The molten metals included in Code E have a tendency to penetrate the clothing more than those in Code D. It is advisable to select heavy weight fabrics to protect against molten splashes and droplets. Wool, treated cotton and the new generation of wool blended fabrics are most suitable for protection against Code E molten metals.
