Universal Chimney Cover Installation Instructions Please Read These Instructions Before Installing
1. Begin with lid removed. Remove anchor from packaging. 2. Insert 3/8" bolt into center hole of the crossbar from the under side of the cover and attach with the wingnut, but DO NOT tighten.

3. Place base screen onto flue tile. Screw studs out until they touch the flue walls, then back off each stud about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn. The anchor should hang freely with about 1/8” space between the tips of the studs and the flue wall.
4. Press the tips of the studs down until they bite. Tighten the wingnut. Test by grabbing the crossbar and jerking upwards. Tighten the wingnut again. 5. Attach lid with the two additional wingnuts provided.
