Summit Shelving - Installation Guide Summer 2022_WEB_F_150d…

IMPORTANT: SAFETY WARNINGS

FOR YOUR SAFETY Please Read Before Assembling or Using Shelving

• Shelving should only be assembled by trained personnel who have read and understand these instructions and warnings. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or product damage. • Install all shelving according to these installation instructions and use components only as directed. • Local safety codes and regulations concerning building, fire, sanitation or seismic requirements may apply to some installations. It is the responsibility of the retailer (Owner) to check with local building authorities to determine which codes or regulations may apply and abide by them. • Never use damaged parts. Damaged parts could cause instability of shelving and possible personal injury. If parts were damaged in shipment, contact your supplier to re-order replacements. • Never exceed allowable load limits as outlined within this document. If you are unsure about this, use the calculation examples shown within this document. • Caution: Exceeding load limits may cause the shelving to tip over or collapse. • Always install kick plates to ensure structural integrity. Using shelving without kick plates would leave the base brackets exposed to collisions from shopping carts or floor cleaning equipment causing misalignment or collapse. • Never hang shelves or other accessories on the side of a fixture that does not have appropriate base shoes installed. • Never hang shelves or accessories that exceed the depth of the base of an aisle or wall gondola even if properly anchored to wall or floor. • Always remember to install final trim pieces to protect shoppers and store personnel from coming in contact with sharp edges. • Do not lean tall or heavy items against shelving unless shelving is secured to a suitable building wall, to the floor or is otherwise secured to prevent overturning. • Racks or shelving that appears to be bending when fully loaded may indicate dangerous overload or impending collapse. Loads should be immediately reduced, and the cause should be investigated. Please refer to the load limits section of this document. • Do not off-load a side of a 2-sided gondola without checking for the possibility of an unbalanced collapse situation. • Provide a safe shopping experience for all your customers by allowing for unimpeded access to all levels of display shelving in accordance with applicable CCOHS / OSHA regulations. The display gondola was not designed to withstand the extra movement and weight associated with walking or climbing on shelves. • Never modify, or in any way, structurally change the shelving or any of its component parts. Modifications may cause the shelving or component part to become structurally unsafe or fail prematurely. • Do not remove a shelf that is merchandised with product. Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in the overturning or collapse of the fixture, resulting in personal injury to your customers or employees, damage to the fixture, or damage to property.
