First Americans Museum The newly opened First Americans Museum tells the collective histories of the 39 tribal nations in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum This memorial pays tribute to those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. Designed to be seen by day and by night — they truly are different experiences — the grounds also house the Memorial Museum. Offering first-person and archive tours, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum has become a profound statement of the resolve, hope and community spirit that grew after the Murrah bombing — sharing the dream of a world without violence and terrorism.
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum
With more than 28,000 Western and American Indian art works and artifacts, it’s home to one of the most comprehensive collections of Western art in the world. The museum depicts the rugged spirit and rich influences of cowboy culture, with fine art, pop culture, Native American objects and historical cowboy gear. The museum also hosts a number of special events annually.
