ML Cattle is bringing a solid group of primarily quarter to half blood Brahman bred heifers to the Spring Fling Sale. They were bred to a Highlander Ranch calving ease Angus bull and a Next Step SimAngus bull. The Highlander Angus bred bull is sired by S A V Rainfall 6846. He is in the top 30% of the Angus breed for calving ease and will sire calves with good feet (top 15%) and pasterns. The Next Step bull is a 3/4 Simmental, 1/4 Angus bull that is homozygous black and polled. He is in the top 35% of the Simmental breed for birth weight and milk. He is also in the top 20% of the breed for marbling. His females should be great mothers and his steers will do well in the feedlot and on the rail. Sale lot numbers are 75 to 101. These home raised commercial Brangus heifers from Prairie Creek Farms are deep hipped and long bodied with plenty of muscle and volume. Heifers were born in Fall 2023. This herd has a complete herd health program and these heifers are up to date on all vaccinations. Heifers were pasture bred to a Ultrablack TM son of BRD Range Rover 889D (IBBA 10488204). This bull was bred right and is in the top 1% for calving ease and top 2% of the Ultrablack TM bulls for birth weight. He is in the top 25% of Ultrablack TM bulls for yearling weight, milk, REA and intramuscular fat. His progeny will excel both in the feedlot and cow herd. Heifers were exposed from October 1, 2024 to April 25, 2025. Sale lot numbers are 582 to 594.
