Australian Retailers Association The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is the Australian retail industry’s peak body, representing over 7800 ARA members in more than 40,000 locations. The ARA’s key services give retailers the power to face change, to understand the retail environment, and to build on talent and best practice to capture emerging opportunities. A strong and proactive advocate for retailers, The ARA promotes and protects employer interests.
The Workplace Health and Safety Committee identifies and co-ordinates strategies, programs and projects to improve health and safety outcomes for the ARA membership and for the wider retail industry. The Committee consults, educates, advocates and provides an essential link between industry and government in working to improve health and safety in the retail industry sector. The Workplace Health and Safety Committee consists of key WHS professionals from a range of retail businesses.
