The aim of the project was to strengthen young people’s future entrepreneurial and employment skills, teach sustainable lifestyles, and focus on the circular economy and local communities. The project organised youth exchanges on the circular economy in youth entrepreneurship education. It chose themes that young people find interesting, such as sustainable development, circular economy, well-being and employment. The project was granted funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. ReWi Visions won the Rural Inspiration Award in the Green Futures category in 2021. The award was presented by the European Network of Rural Development (ENRD).
Description: An EOE seminar will be organised from 3 to 7 October 2023 at the Youth Centre Metsäkartano in Finland.
Under the theme ”How to cope with the future?” the EOE Network invites youth workers, teachers, early childhood educators, social workers, therapists, immigrant social workers and researchers in the field to explore together how outdoor and adventure education and experiential learning could help to build a sustainable future and increase wellbeing. The EOE Network (European Institute for Outdoor Adventure Education and Experiential Learning) is a European network of professionals, social and youth workers, teachers and educa- tors, academics and students. One of its central purposes is to develop and implement academic and practical projects to influence the quality of practice and to establish partnerships between individuals and organisations on a transnational and European basis.
Japa, the project organiser, is a non-profit and politically independent association promoting sustainable development in Jyväskylä in Finland.
The projects’s circular economy theme is 100% related to sustainable development. Many trips into nature were organised, for example.

Countries: Finland and international participants
Organisations: WWF Finland and Metsähallitus (Finland)
Description: In summer of 2022, a WWF volunteer camp took place at Korteniemi Tradition Farm, an old ranger’s farm in Liesjärvi National Park. The farm operates as it did 100 years ago: farm work is done by hand wherever possible, preserving the cultural heritage and traditional biotopes. Volunteers can paint the main building with self-made red paint, build a shingle roof, clear the farm’s meadows and repair the farmyard’s hanging fences.
