Instructions

Gather materials, sanitize containers for storage at the end as well as your workspace Get your double boiler or pot filled with water to a gentle boil as you measure the rest of your ingredient In a stainless steel bowl or the top portion of your double boiler 1. Roughly measure out Tallow (any excess can be poured back into its orginal container) 2. Melt Tallow 3. Remove from heat and add the two tablespoons of 2nd oil of your choosing as well as your essential oils! 4. Stir or combine using kitchenaid/ hand mixer for a few seconds 5. This is when you can decide whether you’d like a fluffy whipped body butter or more of a balm like consistency.

*For a balm like texture immediately pour into preferred containers and allow to cool completely *for a whipped body butter’s consistency allow the mixture to cool for 5-15 minutes in the fridge or freezer. You want the mixture to be the consistency of slightly softened butter. use your kitchen aid or hand mixer for 10-25minutes until all oils are combined & well whipped store in glass airtight container *adding arrow root or cornstarch can combat excessive oiliness & reduce likelihood of it melting. . Mix in 1/2teaspoon at a time until it reaches desired consistenc. TEST the batch as you go!
