ment and dedication. The Christian is one who has a firm confidence in God. I firmly believe that a person who properly loves God is more of an optimist than a pessi­ mist. The Lord is in complete con­ trol of his life as he seeks to allow the Holy Spirit to control his des­ tiny, as well as that of the world's. If we are totally committed to God then we will rely on Him for the future of all things. This is the ba­ sis of love which will never fail or cease in its importance. We should constantly cultivate its use in our lives each day. May it be our dom­ inant goal as the Holy Spirit guides and directs us moment by moment.

This is a prime example of the sinfulness of human flesh. Da­ vid testified, "I will delight myself in Thy statutes" (Psalm 119:16). A Christian loves those things which are godly in nature. Then we find that love believes all things and hopes all things (vs. 7). The one who really loves God is a person of true faith. Our love for God should hold nothing back.
