To All Our Active Military and Veterans THANK YOU!

With all the turmoil in the world, our military’s impact on our lives and communities is even more noticeable and appreciated. For this November, we want to recognize our veterans’ sacrifices to ensure we enjoy the opportunities in life that our freedom provides! The harsh reality of being a soldier is deployment into a conflict somewhere in the world. Modern warfare uses technology to minimize the risk to our soldiers, but despite these advances, there needs to be “boots on the ground” at some point, putting our brave men and women at significant risk. Amputation is one of the most challenging obstacles for active military and veterans to overcome. The toll it takes on a soldier’s physical and mental

well-being can be substantial. Most of us know someone who has served and returned from their service with some form of amputation. Fortunately, we have come a long way in our ability to help these brave men and women with prosthetic limbs that allow them to resume an active life. Our team of Certified Prosthetists/Orthotists (CPO) has been working closely with our military at Fort Drum and throughout our community. We are dedicated to providing a custom-fit prosthesis to ensure our men and women can return to doing what they love! Request an appointment today and learn more about how we can help amputees! Success Story - Linda V. “I was seen by Roger today in his Watertown office and I must say I was very impressed. He was kind enough to see me without much notice, and even though I know he was fitting me into a very busy schedule in no way did I feel like he was trying to speed through our visit. He was approachable, knowledgeable, kind, and skilled. And he even explains things in a thoroughly understandable way. Altogether a positive experience!” WRIST EXTENSOR STRETCH Sit up straight in a chair and raise one arm out straight in front of your with your palm facing the ground. Bring your other hand over top of your palm and lightly press your hand down so you bend at the wrist. Continue pressing until you feel tension in your forearm behind your wrist.
