C. Sales by Nonprofits . A nonprofit yard or garage sale is permitted on the property owned by the nonprofit organization, or it may be located on commercially zoned property with written permission of the property owner.
D. Food Truck Events .
i. Exception for Town Sanctioned Events . Events sponsored, sanctioned, or in partnership with or by the Town of Fuquay-Varina are not subject to Food Truck separation and locational requirements.
ii. Support Documentation . The special event application shall specify how a food truck supports a planned promotional, holiday, fundraising, or similar event in support of the applicant's business or organization.
E. Farmers Market . The following standards shall apply to a farmers market:
i. Farmers markets are permitted in the Neighborhood Commercial (NC), Corridor Commercial (CC), and General Commercial (GC) Zoning Districts by special event permit only. Farmers markets are permitted by right in the Downtown Center-1 (DC-1) Zoning District. ii. No Permanent or Temporary Structure Permitted . The use of fire-retardant tents is permitted; however, the operation must be set up and taken down and all operations removed from the property each day. This standard shall not apply where the Town owns and maintains a structure to accommodate and support a farmers market operation. iii. Produce Sales at Other Locations . Individuals are not precluded from selling produce in other commercial districts outside of the farmers market use; however, a zoning letter of compliance shall be required prior to setting up such operation.
F. Car Wash, Temporary .
i. Location & Wash Ingredients . A temporary car wash is permitted to operate at a location where runoff from the wash operation does not drain into the Town’s storm drainage system unless only biodegradable detergents are used for the car wash operation.
