B. Pronounced (as least one foot deep) recesses and/or projections in the wall plane;
C. Distinct changes in texture and/or color of wall surfaces; or
D. Pilasters that are at least eight inches deep and at least eight inches wide, and have a height equal to at least 80 percent of the facade’s height;
(4) Building Massing . The building facade shall have a clearly identifiable base, body, and cap with horizontal elements separating these components. The component described as the body shall constitute a minimum of 50% of the total building height.
b. Building Façade Materials
(1) Multi-family buildings containing more than 4 residential units: all building facades shall consist of brick or stone (minimum 50% of each wall area after the area of Architectural Treatment has been deducted) and a minimum of one (1) additional material of stone, architectural concrete, EIFS (maximum 20% of a single wall area), architectural metal panels, metal accent, wood or fiber cement siding. Corrugated metal and vinyl siding are prohibited; metal and vinyl may be incorporated for doors, windows and architectural details. (2) Multi-family buildings containing 4 or less residential units: all building facades shall consist of at least two materials from brick, stone, EIFS, architectural metal panels, and wood or fiber cement siding. Corrugated metal and vinyl siding are prohibited; metal and vinyl may be incorporated for doors, windows and architectural details.

Brick and Stone Allowances
A. Brick Styles & Color . Using two different styles and/or colors of brick on the building façade counts as two (2) materials.
B. Percentage of Brick Covering . Brick covers covering a minimum of 60% of the building façade shall count as two (2) materials.
C. Brick & Stone Combination . Combination of brick and stone as the building façade counts as two (2) materials.
