(37) LOT OF RECORD. The term defining a lot which is a part of a subdivision or plat of which has been recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Wake County, or a lot described by metes and bounds, the description of which has been so recorded.
(38) LOT WIDTH. The term defining the length of the principal frontage line of a lot measured as the horizontal distance between side lot lines.
(39) LOW-DENSITY PROJECT (Stormwater Management) . The term defining a project that has no more than two (2) dwelling units per acre or twenty-four percent (24%) built- upon areas (BUA). (40) LOWEST ADJACENT GRADE (LAG) (Flood Damage Prevention). The term defining the lowest elevation of the ground, sidewalk, or patio slab immediately next to the building, or deck support, after completion of the building or structure. (41) LOWEST FLOOR (Flood Damage Prevention). The term defining the lowest floor of the lowest enclosed area (including basement). An unfinished or floor resistant enclosure, usable solely for parking of vehicles, building access, or storage in an area other than a basement area is not considered a building’s lowest floor provided that such enclosure is not built so as to render the structure in violation of the applicable non-elevation design requirements of the Land Development Ordinance. (42) LUMBER PRODUCTS & TREATMENT. A facility where raw lumber is milled and sized producing a finished wood product, and/or the treatment of lumber with chemical products to preserve the lumber from weathering and/or insects.
(43) LUMEN. The term defining a quantitative unit used to identify the amount of light emitted by a light source. A lamp is generally rated in lumens.
m. (1) MACHINE/WELDING SHOP. A building or portion of a building that serves as a workshop where machines, machine parts, or other metal products are fabricated.
(2) MAIN COLOR. The term defining the primary color used on the majority of the building façade (main building elements).
(3) MAINTAINED FOOTCANDLES . The term defining luminance of lighting fixtures adjusted for a maintenance factor accounting for dirt build-up and lamp output depreciation. The maintenance factor used in the design process to account for this
