shopping center with common parking, pedestrian movement, ingress and egress, and an approved “unified design standards” (color, signage and architectural scheme and character) along with the site plan standards set forth in the Land Development Ordinance. This term also includes lifestyle center and mall.

(26) SIDEWALK . The term defining the paved surface separated from the street but located within a right-of-way or easement and intended for public use by pedestrians.

(27) SIDE PATH . The term defining the portion of a street dedicated exclusively and intended to be off-road paths used for both pedestrian and non-motorized bicycle activities. This term may also apply to a walkway or a multi-use trail.

(28) SIGN. The term defining any device designed to inform, directs attention, or attracts the attention of a person(s) not on the premises on which the device is located advertising a business, commodity, service, entertainment, or other activity conducted, sold, or offered exclusively on the premises upon which the device is located.

(29) SIGN, APPURTENANCES . The term defining items such as, but not limited to balloons, flags or streamers used to draw attention to a temporary sign.

(30) SIGN, ATTACHED. The term defining a sign mounted against a building wall for the purposes of giving the name, logo, trademark, or other identifying symbol; addresses; or any combination of the name, symbol, building, business, service, facility, development or establishment. This definition includes all sign types regulated under “permanent attached signs” in Article L Signs. (31) SIGN, BANNER. The term defining a sign with or without characters, letters, illustrations, or ornamentation applied to cloth, paper, flexible plastic, or other types of natural or man-made fabric, or other similar like material which can be easily folded or rolled, but not including paper or cardboard. (32) S IGN, COLUMN. The term defining a sign supported by one (1) or more uprights anchored in the ground, the length and width of such sign and the column sign structure height shall be in accordance with Article L Signs. (33) SIGN, COMMERCIAL COPY . The term defining commercial copy representing the advertisement, promotion and identification of nonresidential uses identifying their business, service or activity in accordance with the sign regulations of the Land Development Ordinance.
