shall be no additional lighting advertising products or for decoration, allowed in store windows or in the store’s doors and/or entryways.
E. Variance Prohibited . Terms and conditions of this use, outlined herein, shall not be varied, altered, amended, or changed by the Board of Adjustment.
b. Agriculture & Animal Related Uses
(1)
Accessory Use , Residential – Bees/Beehives .
A. Hives . Beehives shall be permitted as follows:
i. As an accessory use to a primary residential use.
ii. Maximum Number of Hives . A maximum of five (5) hives are permitted per residential lot in the Town’s Corporate Limits. There is not a limit on the number of hives permitted on a residential lot in the Extra-territorial jurisdiction. iii. Beehives shall be placed at ground level or securely attached to an anchor or stand. If securely attached to an anchor or stand, the anchor or stand may be permanently attached to a roof surface.
iv. Beehives may encroach into the building setback up to 8’ from any property line.
B. Maintenance . A beekeeper(s) shall be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and overall care of the hive(s) in accordance with standard beekeeping practices.
(2)
Accessory Use, Residential – Chickens .
A. Standards for Chickens as an Accessory Use . Chickens are permitted under the following standards:
i. Chicken Coop & Pen Permit Required . A coop & pen permit must be obtained through the Planning Department that shall include submittal of a plot plan showing the location and dimensions of the chicken coop and chicken pen, with setback dimensions from all property lines.
