I often call their attention to that,—how China has skipped the first four commandments and obeyed the fifth.” —o— CATHERINE B. KULP, ’20. “I cer tainly have a warm place in my heart for the dear old B. I. and never will forget the spiritual feasts enjoyed there. I feel that tlie Bible Institute is home to me.” Miss Kulp has been able to witness for the Lord as she has ministered to those who were ill in body. —o— MABEL JEAN BARNHOUSE, T3, is having the privilege of teaching “The His tory of Missions” and “Personal Work” be sides her regular Spanish teaching in Trin ity University, Waxahachie, Texas. MR. AND MRS. LEWIS C. WICK- ENS, (nee Agnes Ramsdale), both of the class of 1921 write to the Alumni Associa tion from Osborn, Missouri: “God has been good to us during the last five years since we left B. I. Four years were spent in going through college at Liberty, Mis souri, and one year has been spent in preaching and teaching here. All five years have been full of blessing, service and joy. God has given us two healthy children to train and'nurture in the Chris tian life.” —o— LURA F. HIXON, ’25, is engaged in definite Bible teaching work in Graham, Texas. She finds her work very interest ing and enjoyable. —o— CATHARINE E. GRILL,. ’20, is in Philadelphia, and sends the following word to our Biola Family: “I would certainly love to visit our dear B. I. again. I came East on a visit with no intention of stay ing, but have been here more than a year. I am not engaged in active Christian work; but I find nursing the sick a big field of opportunity for service.” —o— LEONA RENKEL, ’26, writes from the Bible Lands Gospel Mission, Shweifat,

WILSON, ’22, are laboring for the Lord in Encarnación, Paraguay. “We continue to praise the Lord for His many blessings and although we have not seen as many souls saved this month as last, we rejoice that most of those saved last month and recently seem to be walking very'well for their Lord.” MARY B. FRANKLIN, ’22, is in Phila delphia. “For nearly two years now I have been at home helping to share my mo ther’s household burdens. She is stronger this year, but is still far from well. The only real work that I have been able to do outside is that of teacher for the Teacher Training Class at oür Sunday School. It has been a great joy and blessing.” ■—o—■- LOIS E. PROSSOR, ’23, Taianfu, Shan tung, China. “We are hoping that out of this turmoil and strife will come a united China, but they say that things must get worse before they finally get better. . . . What a wonderful country China is ! I

R O B E R T CHARLES LEWIS (nee Jessie Bailey, ’12) are now located at Hawthorne, Cali fornia, where Mr. Lewis is pastor of the Hawthorne Community Church. —o— REV. E. B. L. B erg , to T h e l m a P egg , ’21. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Ralph Atkinson on December 6th, 1926. Both young people are from the late Dr. W. B. Hinson’s church in Portland, Oregon. MR. AND MR s !°GEORGE C. VAN DUSEN, Evening School ’20, arrived safe ly in Africa after their furlough. In a letter from Mrs. Van Dusen she says, “We are so thankful that Mr. and Mrs. Gee (nee Goldie Barman, T7) have been able to stay on this station and carry on the work, together with the ladies who looked after the girls and helped in the- school. When we have seen how some stations have had to be closed or else be left in charge of a native when the-white work ers had to go home on furlough, our hearts do rejoice that it was not necessary to do so here.
