A 304-unit garden-style apartment property KRE Group & Verde Capital close $56 million multifamily acquisition in Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Highlands, which offers com- muter services to and from Manhattan in less than 45 minutes. “Thousand Oaks Village offers an exceptional value proposition,” said Jonathan Kushner , president of KRE Group. “Not only is the loca- tion highly desirable, but the availability of new rental apartments in the area is limited.” Thousand Oaks Village is the second property that KRE and Verde Capital have jointly acquired. In 2016, the firms purchased Deer Creek, a 288- unit rental community in Plainsboro for $45 million. “We are pleased to be part- nering again with KRE on the Thousand Oaks project,” said Jacob Reiter , president of Verde Capital. “KRE’s mar- ket presence enhances their ability to identify niche op- portunities and utilize their demonstrated experience by delivering a superior product in their target market. Verde values our strong relationship with KRE, and is confident in their ability to provide solid returns on this exceptional investment.” As with Deer Creek, KRE and Verde Capital were drawn to the opportunity to im- prove Thousand Oaks Village through capital investments, including unit renovations and upgrades to amenities. “This acquisition provides us with the opportunity to make capital improvements that will modernize the property and en- hance tenants’ quality of life,” said Darin Raiken , KRE’s director of acquisitions. Known as Thousand Oaks Village, the 36-acre site in- cludes a collection of apart- ments ranging from one to three bedrooms, along with a
