This month, we’re diving into living in motion which all about dynamic movement mastery, where everything you’ve practiced in earlier modules comes together. This is about sequencing movements together that mimic and strengthen our everyday natural life. Why is this important? Because in our daily lives, we don’t move in isolated patterns. Think of the everyday tasks that require these combined movements, like squatting down to reach for a pair of shoes, pulling yourself up from a seated position, or rotating to place something on a shelf. Modules 11 and 12 celebrate how you’ve built strength, stability, and mobility through fundamental movements such as squatting, lunging, reaching, swinging and pulling. Now it’s time to bring these movements together as a foundation for real-life activities.
When you reach up for things or when getting dressed, notice how your shoulders life, your spine twists and your core stabilizes you. When bending down to pick up an item or tie your shoes for instance, notice your legs squat and feel the strength and balance needed to lift yourself back up again. By practicing these movement patterns with more awareness, you’re building the strength and agility to handle daily tasks with confidence and grace. Be sure to watch Modules 11 and 12 on the Fundamental Fitness program to bring it all together and take your dynamic ‘living in motion’ movement to the next level! HERE ARE A FEW WAYS TO USE WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED THROUGH THE LAST FEW WEEKS OF 2024:
