A 1972 graduate of Miami Jackson High School, Miami, Florida, the University of Detroit, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations in 1975, Detroit, Michigan; Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care & Homiletics, Morehouse School of Religion at The Interdenominational Theological Center in 1978, Atlanta, Georgia; Pastoral Clinical Training (PCT) Georgia Health and Rehabilitation Center, Atlanta, Georgia. In 1994, Dr. Cooper pursued further studies in Church Economic Development at the Divinity School of Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Then, as a Samuel Dewitt Procter Fellow, he obtained the Doctor of Ministry Degree, United Theological Seminary, 1995, Dayton, Ohio, and, also in 1995, the Doctor of Sacred Theology, Covington Theological Seminary, Rossville, Georgia. In 1999, he was awarded the Doctor of Divinity degree from Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina. A board member of several organizations, as well as the recipient of numerous academic and international citations, Dr. Cooper, has also received the TRUMPET AWARDS FOUNDATION, Spiritual Enlightenment Award from the Turner Broadcasting Systems (TBS) in Atlanta, Georgia. Locally, he was recognized and honored by churches, and community organizations, among them the Kiwanis Club and the International Region of The Progressive National Baptist Convention, Incorporated for his strides in religious outreach. One who has been made an honorary citizen of Atlanta, Georgia, Detroit, Michigan, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and New York, New York, Dr. Cooper labours assiduously to ensure that his citizenship is in heaven, where he will receive remuneration and God’s accolades of “Well Done, faithful servant”! Reuben Cooper is married to former Senator| Parliamentary Secretary and Attorney-at-Law, Dr. Daphne A. Cooper nee Duncombe and is the father of Reuné Edwina Cooper, a graduate student of the University Of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland and Reuben Edward Cooper III, forever with the Lord. An elevator of humanity; a man whose work is approved of God and whose ways are directed by God, R. E. Cooper, Jr., is God's contemporary prophet, bringing a Ray of Hope daily to thousands. He's a self-effacing, change activist: "God's man in God's place, doing God's work, in God's way, for God's glory!"
