Leadership and Faculty Retreats The Department of Anesthesiology prioritizes fostering a positive and collaborative work environment through annual leadership and full faculty retreats. These retreats provide a valuable opportunity for our team to disconnect from the daily demands of patient care and focus on building stronger interpersonal relationships. Through engaging activities, and open discussions, we aim to enhance communication, boost morale, and strengthen our sense of comradery. These retreats serve as a platform for sharing ideas, addressing challenges, and celebrating our collective achievements, ultimately contributing to a more cohesive and effective Department.
This section serves as an exploration of recent achievements and events that have shaped our Department and the broader BMC and BUCASM communities. Pictured above is Dr. Robert Canelli presenting the Outstanding Critical Care Resident Award at the 2024 Department of Anesthesiology Residency Program Graduation Ceremony. Each year, this award is given to the resident who through scholarship, patient care, and teamwork, has demonstrated the greatest dedication to the field of critical care medicine.
