How we use rhythm In English, the rhythm we use when we speak does not change with the number of syllables or words. Instead, the words or syllables that are stressed (said more loudly) indicate the rhythm. In the lines below, the words in capitals will be stressed and the rhythm will remain the same. You can practice reading them at the same rhythm.
