Intonation of questions Intonation is how we use our voice to say things. It can also be described as the “melody” of our voice that goes up and down. With wh- questions, we normally use a falling intonation. Where are you from? Who is that? With yes/no questions , we normally use a rising intonation. Are you a student? Do you play football?
