There were similarities between Aztecs and Spaniards, too. Both had conquered territories. They were both deeply religious peoples. However, their cultural di erences were greater. No wonder that both groups were amazed when they saw each other for the first time. Fortunately, there are many letters written by the conquerors and also codices written in the pre-Columbian times.
Both types of texts provide interesting accounts to learn about their culture. That way we can understand where we come from. We can meet ancient cultures for the first time and be surprised, too.
