NEW FIELD DIRECTOR APPOINTED

HONG KONG EXPANSION Biola’s important missionary minis try in Hong Kong continues to move forward under the direction of Dr. Charles A. Roberts, superintendent, and Rev. Robert Phillips, assistant superintendent. It is expected that ground will be broken soon for the new church, school, clinic and nurs ery which is being built through contributions of Biola friends, mem bers of the Hong Kong , Emmanuel Church, and through subsidy of the local government.

6,000

Radio people tell us that about 6,000 listeners are reached for every $1 spent in broadcasting the Bible Institute Hour over some 45 stations. Can you think of a better way to invest part of your tithe and gifts? Your gift— however small— is needed N O W to continue this witness for our Saviour. Radio goes where you and ministers and missionaries cann o t. .. right into the homes and cars of people who otherwise might never hear the gospel. Only your dollars make this possible.

Mr. Ray C. Weiskopf, for past eight years a field representative of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Inc., has been appointed Director of the department. Formerly associated with Moody Bible Institute, Mr. Weiskopf has also served a number of years as a pastor in Illinois and Michigan churches. He will be directing the work of Biola field representatives whose territories reach from San Deigo to Seattle. He will also con tinue to contact friends of the school in the Long Beach and Eastern Los Angeles areas. Brochures are now available for the Biola Summer Conferences which in clude the Biola Hume Lake young peoples conferences this month, June 18-25. The other two summer con ferences are designed for the family and will be held in the following places: Mount Hermon, August 14- 21; - The Firs (near Bellingham, Washington), August 22-28.

Pictured above are Dr. Roberts (left) with Dr. Bob Pierce, president of World Vision, Inc. With them are some of the children of the area who need to be reached with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry in Hong Kong has a five pronged attact, with evangelical church, gospel bookstore, Christian youth center, Christian schools, and medical dispensary (more than 1500 people are treated here monthly). Pray for this important Biola minis try in Hong Kong, last outpost of democracy on the China mainland.
