STUDENT STATION FUME HOOD The Student Station offers a safe, highly visible working environment. Air Management: Constant exhaust volume, drawing air efficiently through the sash when open or through the bypass opening when specified. Superstructure: Outer wall is chemical resistant painted sheet steel. Interior lining is a high density phenolic resin sheet material unless otherwise specified. Full frame construction provides strength and stability to the entire fume hood construction. Fume Hood Sash: Full view type with clear, unobstructed, side-to-side view of hood interior and service fixture connections. Sash is constructed of 18 gauge type material welded into a rigid frame with removable glass retainers. Provides integral formed, flush pull the full width of the bottom rail. Safety glass is set into extruded polyvinyl chloride glazing channels. Sash Counterbalance : Dual weight, pulley cable, counterbalance system which prevents sash tilting and permits one finger operation at any point along full width pull. Design insures smooth and quiet operation. Design system to hold sash at any position without creep and to prevent sash drop in the event of cable failure. Standard Features: Two-tube, rapid start, UL listed fluorescent light fixture with sound rated ballast installed on exterior of roof. Provide safety glass panel cemented and sealed to the hood roof, full view laminated safety glass, end view panel Hoods are to meet or exceed the specifications set by ASHRAE 110-1995 and SAMA standard LF-10. It has a containment trough, and bypass. Sash cables : Steel, coated, 1/8” diameter, sash cable pulley assembly is 2” diameter, ball bearing type, with cable retaining device.
Options : Liner options, sash options, epoxy tops, plumbing, metal understructures, and other options.
