Student Support Services

In the Middle School, the student support staff is accessible to all students. The student support staff helps facilitate peer tutoring, as well as individual and group study sessions. The staff also provides organizational help, encourages the development of study skills and test-taking strategies, and educates students about assistive technologies. The student support staff is available to meet with students throughout the school day via scheduled appointments, office hours, and especially during students’ scheduled structured study periods and linguistics and academic skills classes. Student support services in the Middle School are designed to encourage independence and self-advocacy. However, students can also be referred by teachers, advisors, parents, and administrators as needed.
