White Grass Ski Touring Center is another can’t- miss winter destination in Canaan Valley. Here you’ll find 48 trails perfectly groomed for cross country skiing and snowshoes. The center also offers visitors a chance to warmup alongside the trails in one of 12 warming shelters, many of which have wood stoves. Be sure to stop in at theWhite Grass Cafe for a delicious meal to fuel your winter fun. For sledding aficionados, consider a trip to Blackwater Falls State Park , also near Davis. There you’ll find the longest sled run on the entire East Coast, measuring over 1/4 mile. After a few runs on your sled, strap on your cross country skis or snowshoes to explore the 10 miles of trails in the park.
