CaloAesthetics is excited to bring a new service to the menu, as we began offering mental health care earlier this year. In a time of uncertainty, our culture has experienced mental health struggles in a way we have not seen before and we saw the need to address these concerns to care for our patients more holistically. By providing mental health care alongside our aesthetic services, we offer a way to help our patients look and feel their best. In our mental health program, you will be cared for under the specialty psychiatric certification of our Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Bethany Shively, DNP. Bethany holds dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been with the practice for over eight years. During this time, she has worked in surgery alongside the physicians as well as in the Medical Spa area performing a variety of office cosmetic procedures. She saw a need for accessible and high- quality mental health care and developed our own unique mental health care program to meet the needs of our existing patients. Our approach is unique, as each new client receives an hour-long evaluation to determine the root cause of mental health concerns. It is of utmost importance that each client feels heard, has adequate time, and has options laid out before them in regards to potential treatment. Bethany works as a partner in your care to ensure you are comfortable with treatment options and are an advocate in your own treatment plan. We are excited to offer genetic testing through GeneSight ® , which utilizes a simple cheek swab to inform your provider of your unique genetic makeup, guide medication options, and help you feel better faster. While CaloAesthetics offers medication management (prescribing and medication checks), we do not at this time offer therapy. Therapy is critical to healing alongside medication therapy, and options for therapy referral services will be offered at the time of visit. Our goal at CaloAesthetics is to provide current, effective, confidential, and compassionate care to those who entrust us with their mental health concerns.
