NEW TREATMENTS
The Bottom Line There are Successful Treatments for Cellulite
Cellulite development can be caused by: • Hormones • Genetics + +
Did you know? An estimated 85% to 90% of adult women have cellulite, typically on the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. 2
• Age • Diet • Lifestyle
New and first of its kind, QWO is a non- surgical cellulite treatment option. It is an injectable prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks area. Treatment for an individual patient is based on the number of cellulite dimples present in the area of concern. Injections are simple and treatment is quick. QWO is injected in subcutaneous fat, over the course of three treatments. It is believed that QWO targets the fibrous bands of cellulite and stimulates new collagen development. Results can be seen in as little as 10 weeks. Post- treatment patients can expect injection site discomfort, bruising, swelling, and firmness.
Cellfina is another treatment that directly releases the fibrous bands that cause cellulite’s “tufted” look on the back of the thighs and buttocks. During the Cellfina treatment, the area is infused with a numbing solution and a handheld device will then be used to release the bands through a small puncture. Once the bands are released, the skin will appear more taught and smoother. Patients will experience some bruising and swelling to the treatment area and results can last for years to come. In fact, according to the clinical trials, patients reported high rates of satisfaction with 93% of patients still being highly satisfied three years post-treatment. 1

Have you ever noticed those pesky dimples on the buttocks that will just not go away? Have you ever wondered what causes the dimpling and why is it so hard to improve them? Fibrous bands under the skin thicken and pull on the tissue, leading to dimpling – kind of like a tufted couch. This dimpling is what is referred to as cellulite. Cellulite is a primary concern for many women, as it is seen in about 90% of women. This normal but unfortunate variant for women is often the source of embarrassment. Some patients seek to control it with creams, lotions, diet, and exercise, however, due to the underlying cause of cellulite, few results are seen. Cellulite is the root of frustration when seeking treatment for both patients and providers, until now. CaloSpa has the tools to help women win the fight against cellulite using an arsenal of cellulite blasting treatments like QWO ® , Cellfina ® , and Emtone ® .
