Let's join together in stopping the killer before it starts.
NYC Health + Hospitals/ North Central Bronx has raised just under 3000 dollars for cancer research. The funds was raised from donations and sales in the lead-up to the team NCB HOPE’s participation in the Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 23rd. The walk was among several activities the leading Bronx hospital was involved with as part of the hospital’s commitment to cancer awareness. Funds to support the work of the American Cancer Society were also generated through sales of various items, raffles, and bingo games. Employees are encouraged to support planned fund-raising activities, which will continue until the end of the year. A group photograph of staff wearing pink was taken on Friday, October 21st, to shore-up NCB’s support for the fight against cancer. The CDC has reported that breast cancer alone has claimed the lives of about 42,000 women and 500 men in the U.S. each year. NCB offers Breast Services geared at preventing, caring for, and managing breast disease while providing regular imaging through mammography and ultrasound. A message to employees in this edition of the NCB Magazine from Christopher Mastromano, CEO, praised team NCB’s participation in cancer awareness. “An impressive stand out in October was our collaboration and support for Breast Cancer Awareness,” CEO Mastromano said. “As team captain, I am extremely impressed because team NCB showed up.” NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx | October 2022
