COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ESRT accelerates positive change in the communities where we work and live. We empower our people to offer their time and talent to our local communities through meaningful volunteerism and support impactful organizations through donations as well. We organize volunteer opportunities for our colleagues and offer paid volunteer time off for them to dedicate time to charitable organizations of their choice. We believe community engagement is an enriching component of our sustainability strategy. ESRT organizes and supports intentional volunteer events with organizations aligned with our vision for impactful sustainability and environmental stewardship in NYC. HOMELESS ASSISTANCE FUND The Homeless Assistance Fund is a public-private initiative between New York City and housing nonprofit Breaking Ground’s “Connect to Care” program. The program provides services and mental health resources to homeless New Yorkers. In 2024, ESRT donated use of one of our newly renovated prebuilt office spaces to be used by Breaking Ground in support of this cause.
