ESRT is committed to reduce human rights risks throughout our operations, supply chain, and partnerships. Our codes of conduct for our organization and vendors prohibit human trafficking, child and/or forced labor, discrimination, unequal pay, no right to collective bargaining and freedom of association, and poor working conditions. ESRT expects colleagues, vendors, and third-party contractors to maintain and enforce our high standards. Since 2022, ESRT has been a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary initiative for global companies to align their operations and strategies with ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, anti-corruption, and the environment. ESRT fosters business practices that include equal pay, equal opportunity for career advancement, paid parental leave, and zero tolerance for sexual or other illegal harassment in the workplace. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ESRT takes seriously our role and responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace. In 2023, we integrated our practices into an Occupational Health and Safety Policy, aligned with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This policy outlines how we manage, retrofit, and operate our buildings in a way that protects the health and safety of our tenants and colleagues. This policy is supported by comprehensive procedures, which cover emergency preparedness and response plans, incident reporting, requirements for vendors and partners, and mandatory staff training to ensure their effective implementation.
