CO-CURRICULAR HIGHLIGHTS
The College offers over 70 activities from board games to computer coding, from windsurfing to yoga.The extended day means that pupils can enjoy these activities, developing interests and valuable life skills, without compromising their academic education.
LEADERSHIP, AWARDS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (LAPD) LAPD is a unique programme to Eastbourne College which serves to develop leadership and confidence while collecting a portfolio of qualifications, some earning UCAS points. In its first year, sixth form pupils qualified as lowland expedition leaders, outdoor remote first aiders and mountain bike trail leaders.
DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SCHEME Over 200 pupils worked towards their Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Record numbers completed their Awards, and our Gold Award pupils received their certificates from HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, at Buckingham Palace. Gold expeditions took place in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
