• In the Hampshire breed, perhaps more than any other, it’s incredibly difficult to combine maternal performance with desirable traits for show ring appeal. These 394 sows did not have show-winning quality, however, they have and will outpace the majority in the crate and have proven, when mated right, can generate the ultra-competitive kind. • Parachute is a Grand Entrance son we retained, backed by a Range Wars x Homeboy (54-9) female. 54-9 “the Homeboy sow” has and will continue to be a big part of our Hampshire program. Born in 2014, she farrowed her last litter in 2020, sired by Top Gun that produced Ghost Rider, a sire that saw heavy use for our coming crop of Hampshire litters. • 10 born, 10 weaned in her first litter sired by Lion Share, 8 born, 8 weaned in her second litter sired by LS 3-3. • 394-10 (mate) is the mother of the Hoge gilt that was Reserve Champion Hampshire & 5th Overall at ‘22 NJSS & Champion Hampshire Gilt at ‘22 IL State Fair. *Note, 394-10 farrowed 16 in her first litter (weaned 12 on her own), farrowed 10 (weaned 10) in her second litter. Had every intention of offering the trio but unfortunately, we missed her and she isn’t due early enough. • Another one mated to TRU VALUE , the $65,000 Hands Down son we purchased with Hi Point Genetics from TRU at the ‘22 STC.

14 born in her first litter sired by Lion Share and one of those 321’s is a leader in her class of keeper gilts. Second litter sired by Tripod includes a boar prospect that will likely be retained. Mated to ICE , the popular Lion Share son at Hi Point that saw heavy use by Hampshire breeders all over the country and in Lion Share’s absence, is sure to carry the torch.
