w arwick Racecourse continues to one of the best performing courses in the country. Achieving a 28 per cent growth in attendances in 2016, Warwick’s credentials as one of the top proving grounds for the most talented horses is also at an all-time high. Warwick will be looking to build on this momentum when the new season gets under way with the Grand Season Opener on Tuesday, September 26 – the first of 18 meetings for 2017-18. The traditional Tuesday fixture is followed by the Autumn Meeting on Thursday, October 5, the Business Networking Raceday on Friday, November 10 and the Winter Warmers Member’s Day on Wednesday, November 22. Attention then turns to the festive period. The Christmas Raceday on Thursday, December 14 is the perfect opportunity to start your celebrations. Christmas Party Punter Packages give you the freedom to roam the course. Warwick is also the place to be on New Year’s Eve. A record 6,500 people flocked to the racecourse on the final day of 2016, make huge strides and is firmly established as

feature race, the Betfred Classic Chase, was won by One for Arthur who went on to win the Grand National at Aintree. Willoughby Court also won the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle ahead of landing the Neptune Novices’ Hurdle at The Festival at Cheltenham. And don’t miss the inaugural Racing Memorabilia Bring, Buy and Swap Show. Gentlemen’s Raceday on Saturday, February 10, features the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase, which provides opportunities for Novice Chasers before taking on the major prizes at The Festival. Past winners include Betfred Gold Cup winner Long Run and Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Finian’s Rainbow. it’s carnival time
The popular Warwick May Racing Carnival is returning for a third year – and now has a fourth fixture. Each day will have something different to offer, including the traditional Kids’ Carnival Day on May 7 and Ladies’ Night on May 12. Warwick Celebration Raceday celebrates everything that is great about Warwick on May 23, before the season ends on May 30.
